Soon, Graduation

In just around a month I graduate from the College I have attended since 2019.

I have learned much, forgotten much, re-learned just the same, and forgotten even more.

The College at Southeastern has functioned for me as the space within which I have transitioned from granola-boy to beardo-man, from fiery-kid to semi-stable adult. I have made friends here who will be my comrades throughout my entire life. I met my future wife, married her, and made my first home with her all within walking distance of the school. I have labored mentally, physically, and emotionally while walking across this absurdly tiny, small-town campus. I have undergone theological, intellectual, and ideological changes which, when I came to Southeastern, I could not have ever fathomed undergoing.

There is too much to write here about those inner revolutions. This icon, though, of Jesus raising Lazarus, does a great job of showing how I feel coming out of my undergrad: grateful, alive, well, and desirous of more of this God-Man, Jesus Christ.

Preeminently, during my years at Southeastern I have tasted, seen, forgotten, and relearned the beauty and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Χριστός τον κύριον αγάπη ήμασ και σεσωκε ήμασ.

(Christ the Lord loves us and has saved us.)
